Our Permanent Residents (and their stories).
Sassy & Yoshi
Sassy and Yoshi are the inspiration for C.C.Rescues, and have been my closest companions for a long time now. They are important influences in my life.
Yoshi is Sassy's father, and they were both rescue dogs. They were rescued from a 'puppy farm' in the Sydney area. Yoshi had been shut in a cage for three years of his life and still bears the emotional and physical scars of his torturous life today. Sassy was very young when she was rescued, so her problems aren't quite as severe. They have both come a long way since their rescue.
Sassy
Sassy is a cheeky little miss! She is Yoshi's daughter and was rescued with him. Luckily she was fairly young, so she doesn't have that many problems associated with her horrible beggining to life. Sassy loves to run around and have a game with the other dogs. She is usually on the go, but loves to snuggle up with her dad for a sleep as well. She sometimes picks on her dad a bit, but he is starting to tell her off. She is just so affectionate as well as being very smart. Plus, she is a real piggy, stealing everyones food given the chance!
Yoshi
Yoshi is Sassy's dad. They were rescued together from a 'puppy farm' in the Sydney area. Yoshi was severly emotionally scarred from his ordeal, and has some pretty bad physical issues as well. Yoshi has come 110% since his rescue. He loves to run around outside and lie in the sun (with sunscreen and a shirt). He even went for a paddle in our dam which was a HUGE step! His skin is improving with time, and his personality is really coming out.
Gabby
Rest in peace my beautiful Princess. I will see you again.
Gabby was a Maltese x Jack Russell, and was my first dog. She was my best friend, my snuggle buddy and my constant companion for 11 years. Her coat soaked up many a tear and her fat little body was always there to cuddle. She knew me better than most. Gabbs always knew when I was sad and needed her company. She was very tolerant of me, letting me dress her up and take hundreds of photos. She was the most loyal and loving thing that I have ever had in my life. Gabby suffered from Cushings Disease. When she started to feel pain we made the decision, Gabby included, that it was time. She was amazing right down to her death. What happened proved to me the bond between her and I was very special. I listenened to her. The loss of Gabbs is not something my heart will ever recover from, and no pain really compares.
